Little League Softball is the first pitched ball experience young children have. Division 1 grades (Under 11’s) use the 11” flexiball which is softer and designed to promote safety whilst players learn and improve their ball skills.   Division 2 (Under 13) retains the 11” size ball but moves to the hard core softball as used by seniors.  Again the ball size allows for better skill development, especially with young pitchers.   All clubs throughout Canterbury have Little League Softball grades playing in the Saturday morning competition.  Please refer to the club pages for contact details.   Each Little League Softball team is also eligible to play in the Grand Prix Finals weekend.  Please refer to Little League Grand Prix Finals to determine how qualifications are determined.   Ages are determined by the age of the player as at 31st December each year. (i.e Under 11 or Under 13 as at 31 December)
